Hey, Cowboy, Wanna Get Lucky? (1994)
by Baxter Black (1945-)
This novel by the cowboy poet and former large animal veterinarian is the story of two rodeo cowboys and one season. In the course of it, one of them rises to greatness and the other achieves happiness. Along the way they have adventures and misadventures, and sufficient talk to justify a poet-philosopher’s first novel. It was a great read, quick and funny, and extremely improbable.
